Road tripping is by far the best way to explore the United Kingdom. Whether you’re just park-hopping through Cardiff or eating your way across England, the best way to enjoy a long weekend is by taking a road trip.
By road tripping in the UK is not necessarily like other countries. Yes, the UK has an incredible high system and you can travel anywhere just by the road, but temperatures can be extreme and distance long, so you need to be prepared.
Here is what you must park for your 3-day road trip to ensure you enjoy every second on the road.
Car care
It’s a three-day road trip. You’ll need to ensure you have all the tools necessary to keep your vehicle in top shape. Although most of the things are obvious, some of the essentials you must carry with you include:
- Spare tire
- Emergency car kit
- Insurance, registration, and license
- Owners manual roadside assistance
- Fluids
Healthy Snacks
A diet of healthy snacks is a must for the days you’ll be on the road. You need something that won’t leave you hungry while driving around.
Sunglasses
Three days of driving can put lots of strain on your eyes, so, to ensure your eyes are safe, you should pack a pair of sunglasses.
Comfy Driving Shoes
You need to treat your feet well for the days you’ll be driving around. You should try out wool uppers that feel comfortable and won’t require you to change shoes every time you stop at a hotel or campsite.
Travel Pillow
The mere fact that you must always remain alert while driving doesn’t mean your passengers cannot take a nap. You can save yourself from painful neck aches by carrying a travel pillow.
Instant Camera
A digital camera is a great gadget for taking quick shots and sharing them online. You should consider carrying a digital camera if you really want to capture some of the best moments while on the road.
Reusable Water Bottle
You don’t have to clutter your backseat with dozens of plastic bottles, which is also not good for the environment. You can instead carry a reusable water bottle that you can refill at the gas station. A high-quality water bottle comes with in-built UV light that kills microorganisms to ensure you drink pure water.
Cooler
Any great road trip requires lots of snacks and drinks to keep you energized. A cooler is a great must-have to ensure your drinks and snacks are well preserved.
